Industrial marking is different from decoration. The mark needs to be readable after handling, cleaning, assembly, and sometimes coating or field use. That means placement, contrast, size, orientation, and material all matter.

Marking as part of the build

Send vector artwork, CAD, spreadsheet data, font requirements, material, coating information, and quantity. If the mark must scan, survive cleaning, or remain readable after coating, include that requirement early.

Marking details that change the result

QR codes and Data Matrix marks need enough size, quiet zone, and contrast to scan reliably. Serial numbers need a numbering scheme that will not collide with future batches.
