Precision Machining in Seattle
Future Present Labs provides precision machining in Seattle for parts where fit, repeatability, surface finish, and inspection notes matter. We are a small shop, which makes us a good fit for focused prototype and short-run work that benefits from direct engineering communication.
Precision machining is not the same thing as making every number tight. It means understanding which features control function, then choosing setups, cutters, datums, and checks that protect those features.
Where precision matters
- Bearing fits, shaft interfaces, dowel locations, and alignment features
- Fixture plates, nests, and workholding for repeatable assembly or inspection
- Housings, adapters, and brackets where stackup affects performance
- Parts that need documented checks before they go into a build
Tolerances with purpose
Tight tolerances can add cost and lead time when they are applied everywhere. We help identify which dimensions need extra care and which can remain standard. That keeps precision where it matters and avoids turning every feature into a bottleneck.
Inspection and communication
Every precision project should start with a clear drawing, CAD model, material requirement, and use case. If a part interfaces with an assembly, send the surrounding context too. We can provide simple measurement notes with the parts so your team knows what was checked.
Good precision inputs
Include datum references, critical-to-function dimensions, thread classes, finish requirements, and any mating hardware. If you have a failed part, prior vendor drawing, or inspection report, send that too. The fastest way to improve a precision part is to understand where the previous version was risky.
Need Precision Machining in Seattle?
Send the CAD, drawing, quantity, and critical fit requirements. We will review the tolerances before programming the job.
- Need a quick perspective on manufacturability, tolerances, or fixturing.
- Want to bundle firmware, testing, or integration work with machining.
- Require NDA coverage, secure data handling, or on-site collaboration.
