CNC Turning in Seattle
Future Present Labs supports Seattle CNC turning projects for round parts that need accurate diameters, shoulders, bores, grooves, or threads. Turning is often the fastest and cleanest process for cylindrical geometry because the material spins while the tool forms the profile.
The best turning jobs are clear about fit: which diameter rides in a bearing, which thread mates to another part, which shoulder controls stackup, and which surface is cosmetic.
Good fit turned parts
- Aluminum, brass, stainless, Delrin, and other engineering material components
- Threaded adapters, spacers, standoffs, bushings, and collars
- Small housings and round features that need hand-fit checks
- Short runs where setup, repeatability, and clear communication matter
Turning plus milling
Many real parts are not purely round. We can combine lathe work with CNC milling for flats, cross holes, pockets, slots, wrench features, and secondary mounting patterns. If the job needs part marking, we can add laser engraving before shipping.
Details that matter
Turned parts are sensitive to diameter callouts, thread standards, chamfers, undercuts, surface finish, and burr control. A relief groove can make a threaded shoulder easier to manufacture. A small chamfer can make assembly smoother. A tolerance that is too tight on a non-critical outside diameter can add inspection time without improving function.
How to request a quote
Send a drawing with diameters, lengths, threads, material, and quantity. If the part interfaces with bearings, shafts, fasteners, seals, or another machined component, include that context so we can review the fit instead of only cutting to isolated dimensions.
