Product Prototyping in Seattle
Future Present Labs helps Seattle teams turn product concepts into functional prototypes. We are a good fit for physical products that involve machined parts, printed fixtures, embedded electronics, panels, housings, or test hardware.
Product prototypes have different jobs at different stages. A proof-of-concept build can be ugly if it proves the core mechanism. A pilot unit needs better fit, labeling, assembly sequence, and service access. A customer demo needs the details that make people believe the product is real.
Prototype stages we support
- Proof-of-concept hardware to test feasibility
- Functional prototypes for fit, assembly, and real-world use
- Investor, demo, or pilot units that need clean marking and finish details
- Revision support after testing reveals what needs to change
What to bring
Useful starting points include CAD, sketches, photos, block diagrams, existing samples, or a short description of the user problem. If you already know the target quantity, material constraints, cost target, or use environment, include those early.
Practical product development
We can help with CNC machining, 3D printing, PCB design, laser engraving, and fixture work. When a task belongs with a specialist partner, we will keep that boundary clear.
Avoiding expensive prototype mistakes
Common traps include designing around unavailable components, hiding fasteners until assembly is painful, leaving no room for wires, making every surface cosmetic, and choosing a manufacturing process before the design is stable. We help identify those issues early so the next build teaches you something useful.

Share the product goal, current files, constraints, and timeline. We will help turn the next prototype into a real build plan.
- Need a quick perspective on manufacturability, tolerances, or fixturing.
- Want to bundle firmware, testing, or integration work with machining.
- Require NDA coverage, secure data handling, or on-site collaboration.
